Athena Mediation

Our innovative, tried and tested Cooperative Games and Conflict Resolution Programme for Primary Schools is available for schools at no cost . We can offer the programme to run for 8 weeks per term with two or possibly four class groups.

Maidstone Mediation Scheme
Maidstone Mediation Scheme is a registered charity and voluntary organisation which offers services to the community in a variety of contexts. We work in the Maidstone and Malling areas with the objective of bringing peace and understanding amongst people with disputes of all kinds, and train peer mediators.

Peacemakers educates for peace. Our highly experienced trainers work with both school staff and pupils to develop skills, knowledge, behaviour and systems that develop peaceful learning environments. Our work can enhance your PSHE or SMSC provision, living out school values, help with difficulties around class cohesion, low level disruption and social skills. Our work is inclusive, dynamic and experiential – and great fun! We tailor our work to individual schools, offering a range of services including Peer Mediation training pupils to resolve disputes between themselves, and Peacemakers courses providing children with the social and emotional skills to build relationships and resolve conflicts peacefully. Leap Confronting Conflict
Leap is a registered training provider and social enterprise providing conflict resolution training to young people and the adults that work with them - all across the UK.
We work with young people aged 11 – 25 to understand and manage the conflict in their lives and stop it becoming something more destructive or violent. We also recognize that adults working with young people can give them the skills, confidence and knowledge to challenge conflict and develop as people. Therefore we also train professionals such as teachers, youth workers, police and prison officers so that managing conflict benefits whole communities and transforms lives.
Leap has trained over 25,000 young people in peer mediation since 2000.
Wye Valley Mediation
Wye Valley Mediation works to encourage Peer Mediation in Hereford, Powys and Worcestershire. Claire is a Family Mediator in the Hereford/Powys area and a Governor at a local Primary School where experiences mediating between the school and parents with respect to cases of 'bullying' have led to an interest in Restorative Justice and Peer Mediation. Claire's professional background is as a family barrister (called 1994), Principal Lecturer on the Bar Professional Training Course teaching among other subjects, Alternative Dispute Resolution. Claire trained as a Family Mediator in 2012, received MIAMS accreditation in 2013 and am currently applying for the APC.

Mediation Herts has been training peer mediators in schools since 2005 and works with young people aged from 6 to 18 years. It also supports schools in setting up schemes and running top-up training, including with school staff and midday supervisors.

NVC Resolutions
Daren De Witt, of NVC Resolutions, offers peer mediation training for primary and secondary schools in London and surrounding counties. He can provide one-off peer mediation training programmes as well as ongoing support for your school or organisation. Daren has been teaching peer mediation in primary and secondary schools since 1999. He is a senior UK certified trainer with and representative of the international Centre for Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Nonviolent Communication underpins his peer mediation training programmes. Daren also offers conflict resolution and communication skills training for school staff, and active listening skills/empathy skills training for staff and students.
